Design
If you’re very well familiar
with the Galaxy S8, you can recognize lots of what Galaxy S9 is trying to do.
However, you won’t find major differences, but rather Samsung has decided to
try and improved a bunch of things with a few slight tweaks. The Galaxy S9
comes with a glass rear, a rounded display on the front and slim bezels. Also,
Samsung has claimed the major improvements in terms of design, including less
bezel at the top and bottom of the display and the iris scanner hole being
hidden. The biggest step taken by the Samsung is that they repositioned a
fingerprint scanner below the rear camera which sounds good.
Camera
It’s all about a camera when
it comes to Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone as Samsung has claimed that the phone
will reimagine the camera entirely. The Galaxy S9 is backed by a 12MP single
lens on the rear with OIS and lots of the other features we have come to expect
from high-end Samsung devices. Most interestingly, a new dual-aperture
technology is one of the biggest upgrades, with the camera automatically
adjusting the aperture depending on the scene you’re about to shoot. It seems
quite similar to the human eye adapts to changing the light. Likewise, an 8MP
sensor sits on the front with facial recognition technology which is more than great
for taking selfies.
Price
Though there is no word on
price or availability from retailers and carriers, but based on rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S9 128GB Mobile Phone prices are set for AU$1,199 if
you buy directly from Samsung. Despite Samsung has revealed the price of the
Galaxy S9 in the UK at £739 whereas $719.99 in the US. However, we haven’t much
information about specific US or UK contract pricing yet, but we will be sure
to update when we hear from the carriers and networks on both sides of
Atlantic.
